Amazon Prime Video is heading into this year’s holiday season with a slate of critically acclaimed original movies and new installments of its most popular series.

Season 5 (and its second as an Amazon Original) of the sci-fi epic The Expanse (December 16) will see the crew of the Rocinante scattered around the solar system while a terrorist group plots a potentially catastrophic attack against Earth.

Two days later, former “Top Gear” hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May return with The Grand Tour Presents: A Massive Hunt (December 18), as the gang tours around Reunion Island to race on the world’s most expensive piece of tarmac and Madagascar where they must tackle the world’s toughest road, in some of the most extremely modified cars they have ever built.

On the film front, Amazon streaming service will roll out the critically acclaimed Sound of Metal (December 4), starring Riz Ahmed as a punk-rock drummer who’s losing his hearing; The Wilds (December 11), a survival drama about a group of teenage girls marooned on a deserted island; I’m Your Woman (December 11), a 1970s-set crime thriller with Rachel Brosnahan (known from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel); and Sylvie’s Love (December 25) a musical, romantic epic starring Tessa Thompson and Nnamdi Asomugha as two lovers who share a jazz-filled romance in the sultry summer of 1957. The movie drew rave reviews at Sundance so it’s definitely a strong title to watch.

There’s also Yearly Departed (December 30), a hilarious, absurd, life-affirming comedy special that includes Tiffany Haddish, Sarah Silverman, Natasha Rothwell, Ziwe, Natasha Leggero, Patti Harrison, and Rachel Brosnahan, and for the kids, a new season of Clifford the Big Red Dog (December 11).

Prime Video will also feature a selection of all-time favorite Christmas classics, including It’s a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street, Elf, Love, Actually, A Christmas Story and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, though some of those are for an extra rental fee.
