The New Year starts with a blast on Netflix with such titles as Ant-Man and the Wasp, Solo: A Star Wars Story or Indiana Jones entire franchise movies. There will be plenty of shows to choose from.
As usual, Netflix will also debut a number of its original series including the BBC coproduction Black Earth Rising with John Goodman, high school comedy Sex Education with Gillian Anderson, comic documentary series Trigger Warning with Killer Mike, and Kingdom, a Korean zombie drama. It will continue with already well-established titles with new seasons of Grace and Frankie, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, A Series of Unfortunate Events and Friends from College. Its new Original Movies will include The Last Laugh with Chevy Chase and Richard Dreyfuss and an action thriller Close with Noomi Rapace.
There is another reason to join the Netflix family this year. After the Disney’s announcement of launching its own streaming service and plans to pull its content from Netflix, 2019 may be the last year in which we can see Marvel, Lucasfilm or Pixar brand movies on Netflix stream. Ant-Man and the Wasp
Another visually stunning creation of Marvel Studios, full of action, humor and spectacular scenes. A great movie to sit down with a bowl of popcorn and relax.
Hell or High Water
A movie which received incredibly good reviews starring Chris Pine and Jeff Bridges. Bonnie and Clyde-style bank-robbing and bond-making story with great actors’ creations and the full flavor of Texas. Definitely worth your time.
A Series of Unfortunate Events: Season 3
A funny show which breaks away a bit from dark-themed shows such as Breaking Bad or Mr. Robot, with great acting, well-written dialogs and interesting plot. Not everyone likes a bit absurd sense of humor but those who do, will not be disappointed.
