Amazon Prime Video slate for August 2019 - stream it with Smart DNS Proxy!

If you're ready to spend some time indoors in August and looking for something new to watch on Amazon Prime Video, you’ve come to the right place. August is just around the corner, and that means there are plenty of new movies, TV shows, and original series coming in. Below, you will find a few suggestions on this month’s slate for Amazon Prime.

Early on in the month, there are a few titles that you might be interested in. On August 2, 300 arrives, so you can yell "This is Sparta!" if you feel like doing it and you enjoy this movie. We do.

Also, comedian Jim Gaffigan has a new comedy special, Quality Time, arriving on August 16. It is definitely worth checking out.

August 23 will bring you the latest instalment of Mission: Impossible – Fallout. This title does not need any recommendation.

At the end of the month, on August 30, Season 1 of the Amazon Prime original Carnival Row comes to the service. The series stars Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne and takes place in a fantasy world inhabited by both humans and mythological creatures. These beasts, however, are forbidden to live their lives or love anyone. A number of murders by a monster pushes the city into chaos as the peace treaty between humans and creatures collapses.

However, most of the Amazon's goodies arrives on August 31. There are plenty of notable titles including, 2014 Godzilla, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, the sci-fi classic The Fifth Element and a few successful sequels: Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Poltergeist II: The Other Side and The Hills Have Eyes Part II.

In addition to the streaming options, Amazon also brings some new 2019 movies for rent or purchase. Joanna Hogg’s The Souvenirstarring Tilda Swinton and her real-life daughter Honor Swinton Byrne, will become available on August 6. Pokémon Detective Pikachu (with Ryan Reynolds as the voice of the video game character) comes to Amazon Prime Video for rent or purchase on August 20. And the icing on the cake - Avengers: Endgame, which has recently become the highest grossing film ever, will be available on August 13. Streamers, assemble!
