How to Get Spotify Premium from Anywhere

Today’s we’ll take a look at how you can access Spotify Premium if it’s unavailable in your country.

You might have the free version which has most of the albums and artists but it is riddled with ads, and you can't skip tunes. You’d have to pay $9.99 to make it ad-free and get high quality or even use it offline. That sounds fair – NOT!

I’ve been using iTunes so far, but Spotify Premium really sounds like a good deal overall. like I said before - if it’s geo-restricted in your country, here's how you unblock it using the VPN.

Step One: Get a VPN

As you probably know by now, you will need a VPN to access Spotify Premium. If you are listing to Spotify free, chances are you already are using a VPN. If that’s the case, just skip to the next part. But if not, then I’ll recommend getting our Smart DNS. As it offers both a VPN and smart DNS proxy, this way you set up smart DNS on your router and watch US TV shows from all your devices.

So, head over to Smart DNS Proxy.com and create a free 14-day trial account. Follow the instructions on the setup page or watch our previous setup instruction videos for Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, router, or any device you have. It costs you like $5 a month after the trial. Requires no credit card info as well.

Once you have your VPN set up, leave it for now. We’ll need this later on.

Step Two: Buy a gift card

Next, we need to buy a gift card for Spotify Premium, as it only accepts a US credit card.

There are few sites that work for a gift card, we generally use mygiftcardsupply.com (you don’t need a US credit card or PayPal to buy a gift card for them) but, if you know any other service, hey more power to you.

You can buy a $10 Spotify gift card for roughly $17 which is a tad too expensive in my opinion. If you have a friend or relative living in Spotify supported country, I would recommend asking them to buy the gift cards in bulk for you. They’re easily available in any Target or Walmart. You can even buy them on Spotify’s official website if you have a US credit card or an American PayPal.

Anyways, for this instance, we’ll just go with a $10 gift card. So, add it to your cart and check out with your PayPal. Enter your name, email and verify your phone number as well.

Once done, you’ll get the code in your email within a minute or two. They sometimes deliver the scanned copy of a physical card by email and the other times it just the code.

Once you get the code, copy it to your clipboard.

Step Three: Sign Up for Spotify Premium

Next, turn on your Smart DNS Proxy’s VPN and make sure to switch the country to the United States since that's the gift card you bought. But, if you are buying an Australian gift card or using PayPal of other countries, make sure to switch to respective countries servers like Melbourne or something.

Now, head over to Spotify gift card redemption page (you’ll have all the important links in the description of this video). If you are not already logged in to Spotify, do that with your Facebook or email.

It's important that you sign up for Spotify Premium on the website and not in the app. Apple takes a cut of every in-app purchase from the App Store, so if you sign up on your iPhone Spotify Premium is $13/month instead of the usual $10/month

Next, enter the gift card code.

You might see a message that if you enter a gift card, you won’t be able to enjoy a free month free trial, it’s a tempting offer but don’t fall for that.

And boom, you now have the Spotify Premium. You now can listen to the Spotify Premium with no ads and unlimited skips.

Spotify Premium on Android

To get Spotify premium on Android, you need to sideload the Spotify APK from sites like apk mirror. It's the only source we trust.

Now, turn on Smart DNS Proxy VPN and switch to a US server.

Now, login into the Spotify app with the same credentials we used before. And once you do, you can enjoy the Spotify Premium on it as well. If you already have the app installed, simply log out and log in to get the premium features.

Spotify Premium on iPhone

Similarly, to get Spotify premium on iPhone, you need to change your App Store to America, to download Spotify app, we already have a detailed video on how to do that, click on the YouTube card to check it out.

In a nutshell, you need to switch your App Store country and then you would be able to see the Spotify app on the App Store once you do, install it. Again, just like we did for Android, turn on Smart DNS Proxy VPN, switch to a US server and log in.

And there you go, enjoy the awesomeness of the ad-free Spotify.

Well, that was heaps of info to get that Spotify Premium. For the price you pay and considering how streaming is the future, Spotify Premium is the way to go.

The only legit way to get it is using gift cards even if it sounds a bit tedious. if you love the service, you wouldn’t mind I reckon.

Speaking of services you wouldn’t mind, check out Smart DNS Proxy what you can do to unblock geo-restricted content on streaming sites.
